Polgara the Sorceress is it an interesting book?

I’m a little over halfway through Polgara the Sorceress, and I’ll finish it, but I don’t really care about it at all. It’s not as compelling, and her story isn’t as interesting for whatever reason. There are some parts that were good, when she is going over events with her sister, but other than that it’s just not really all that interesting.

Maybe it’s because Belgarath the Sorcerer already went over that same timeframe and her perspective doesn’t add much. Maybe it’s because this book was even more of a cash grab than the others and it was one more chance to write a book in the overall series.

It’s also not set up well, and very forced, which put me off from the start.

So this one I wouldn’t recommend reading, unless you as a reader really want to go through a slog and say you’ve completed the series — which is a valid enough reason. You’re not missing much, it doesn’t seem to add all that much, and I’d suggest moving on to something more interesting.
